Mission

To be an encouraging sign and light for our residents. We empower them through Christianity and Thought Leadership to accomplish recovery. We provide our residents with tools to create their own paths to success and by extending life-fulfilling resources to achieve true freedom. 

Vision

To become the safe place for spirits that are in need of recovery. We aim to redefine the drug addiction recovery statistics by increasing the standard of care with evolving treatment methods.

Founder

Pastor Waymon Johnson

Pastor Waymon Johnson is an experienced 17-year addict and 20 years clean professional. Waymon attended the Genesis Biblical College & Graduate School in Orlando, FL where he obtained his Bachelor Degree in Religious Education.


In 2004, Pastor Waymon and his wife Arnita Johnson began personally funding outreaches and providing transportation to church for neighborhood residents. In 2005, New Birth Center was formed with housing and discipleship for men struggling with life controlling issues. In 2011, Next Level aftercare home opened for men upon completion of early phases of recovery. In 2012, Naomi's Home opened to provide housing and discipleship for women with life controlling issues.

NEW BIRTH OUTREACH MINISTRY LEADERS

Co-Founder of New Birth Outreach Ministries

Minister Arnita Johnson is the Co-Founder of New Birth Outreach Ministries. Arnita serves as the Discipleship Leader of Naomi's Home for women. Waymon and Arnita started their restoration and discipleship journey in 2005.  In 2011, Arnita graduated from Alabama Bible College where she became an ordained minister. In 2012, New Birth Outreach Ministries decided to open a home for women with drug addiction and life controlling problems. Waymon and Arnita Johnson have been married for 18 years. Arnita worked 11 years in mental health helping others in need which expresses her passion for healing others.  We now have 8 home homes in Alabama that we manage. We are seeking to expand to other states and cities. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested in supporting New Birth.
